It seems like most people are under the impression that it’s too expensive to take a family vacation. Well, let us shed some light on that misconception for you!

When traveling with family one way to save is to spend a little extra on a condo or house and cook the majority of your meals. Eating out adds up & can end up costing more than the hotel or flight. Depending on family size, one meal at a restaraunt could cost $60 compared to spending that at the grocery store and having leftovers.

Also, when traveling as a family, driving instead of flying can save you tons. For example round trip airfare for a family of 6 to Orlando could easily cost you upwards of $1200 or more after factoring in the cost of luggage, airport parking, and a rental car. Whereas driving would cost about $300 round trip TOTAL, which is a savings of 66 percent!! Since you’re driving you won’t have to pay to park or rent a car and you can take all the “stuff” you need and you’ll still have about $800 left because you do have to eat on the way there unless you pack food (hint, hint). Sounds good right?
