Catamaran Sailing Around Oahu

When I began planning my trip to Hawaii I knew catamaran sailing was a must do. It’s one of my favorite activities so we decided to do the Tradewind Sail with Holokai Catamaran.  It’s such a fun, and exciting way to see beautiful Oahu from a different perspective. Plus, Holokai Catamaran is Waikiki’s first new catamaran in 20 years!

After a very inviting and entertaining introduction, our captain Phillipe began to set sail while our bartender Austin moved around the boat getting to know everyone and offering to take photos.

As we headed out to sea there was fun and lively music playing in the background. Once the captain finished the safety briefing we were allowed to move around the beautiful, brand new catamaran. We chose to go to to the netting which was very relaxing.

Onboard you can purchase alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks ranging from $2 to 10$. They also have a tropical cocktail known as uh-oh juice that comes in a cool souvenir cup.

The views were amazing from the catamaran. We had a perfect view of Diamond Head, the Waikiki Shoreline, the lighthouse, and the Natatorium. Black point and Koko Head are also visible. On really clear days, you may even be able to see the island of Molokai which is about 40 miles away.

During our sail back to shore we all agreed that the Tradewind Sail was the highlight of our trip. The crew was very professional and friendly. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time. If you’re visiting Oahu, I highly recommend booking a trip with Holokai Catamaran.

Holokai Catamaran offers a few other sails as well including the Turtle Canyon Adventure Sail at 9am & 12pm daily, Sunset Sail at 5pm nightly, and a Fireworks Sail at 7pm on Friday nights.

This Turtle Canyon Adventure Sail is a 2.5 hour cruise that gives you the opportunity to start your day off swimming with turtles, octopus, sea urchins and other marine life under the supervision of experienced divers.

The Sunset Sail is another must do! It’s a 1.5 hour sail and drinks are included. What better way to see the beautiful Hawaiian sunset than from the Pacific Ocean?

The Fireworks Sail offers an amazing fireworks display from the ocean.

These cruises sell out fast, so book in advance to reserve your seat at http://www.sailholokai.com
